It
is key to print often, to compare the colour of the cibachrome
paper to the
colours generated on my monitor. The steady sales of my limited
edition
prints allow me
to keep track of the introduction of all new colours.
Although all edition
numbers remains fixed, the digital file will sometimes be altered
inbetween prints; especially in the larger prints such as
the planets. The beginning stages of the image-altering process
are modest and
take
place
over the
earliest
printed images
in an
edition.
As the project and technique advances, the changes in
each series become more pronounced. Thus, the later images
in an
edition
show
marked
changes from the earlier images.
The Cibachrome
print is the longest lasting, highest
quality print available today, guaranteed to be light-fast for
200 years. If it is indicated that the print
is 'mounted', the final print will be completed with a museum
finish, faced with scratch-resistant plexiglas, backed with anodized
aluminum,
and outfitted with an aluminum brace, allowing for easy hanging
and many, many years of enjoyment. |
